A New Look for Gospel Family Devotionals

There’s something powerful about gathering your family around the Word—opening Scripture together, asking questions, praying, and watching the gospel take root in hearts right inside your home. These moments may feel simple, even ordinary, but they are shaping eternity. Gospel Family Devotionals exist to help you step into that calling with confidence—to give you a clear, consistent way to bring the truth of Jesus into your home day after day. This isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence—parents and families faithfully pointing one another to Christ and building rhythms that last.

Gospel Family Devotionals will have a new look in May. We’re moving to a mobile-friendly vertical format so you can easily scroll through the devotional on your phone or tablet, without having to download and zoom in on a PDF. (The PDF will still be there for those who like that format or want to print it out on a single page.)

The new format is just in time for our May devotionals, which center around the question: What changed because Jesus is alive? Under the theme "After the Resurrection," each day follows the ripple effects of that first Easter morning—moving from the empty tomb to personal encounters, from restored disciples to a commissioned church.

You’ll see how the risen Christ meets individuals like Mary Magdalene, speaks peace into fearful rooms, and patiently rebuilds faith in those who struggle to believe. As the month unfolds, the focus widens—from personal transformation to a global mission rooted in Acts 1:8 (which is our memory verse for the month).

As a mission project, families will take on the Acts 1:8 Prayer List, praying daily for four unsaved people—from their neighborhood to the nations. This month is about more than remembering the resurrection—it’s about living in its power and joining its mission.
